Most of the references say that the meaning of Courtship is "A man pursuing a woman until she catches him", but actually the definition should be the couple go on dates to get to know each other.
This is one of the factor or reason why marriages and relationships fail. They haven't know each other good enough to understand each other. Sometimes they even argue on little things. Then sometimes eventually it leads to break-ups and the promises are broken.
What if the couple already know each other for quite long time, for example a year or two or three, is it enough?
What if one of them is scared of the other person to know their secrets (since an open relationship usually works) and might change how the other person think of the other?
It doesn't matter how long the've known each other because to make the relationship effective, both of them involve in the relationship should put enough effort that they are willing to give. It also doesn't matter if they have secrets either in the past or present. The important is that they will accept whoever they are. And do as much as possible the best for the both of them.
I guess you are wondering why I posted an article about courtship? Maybe it relates on my current situation. Maybe it's irrelevant. But one thing is for sure, this may somehow help anybody with their relationship.
